The challenge facing the airline was effectively managing essential high-stakes training needs and processes in a way that was secure, flexible, compliant, and time-saving. This had to be achieved across three disparate teams; flight crew, flight operations, and the engineering teams.
Flight Crew: The primary users of the training platform were pilots and cabin crew members, who needed to comply with strict regulatory oversight from the Civil Aviation Authority of Australia (CAA Australia) and the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA). This required a solution that could offer high-stake assessment formats and test integrity measures at scale.
Flight Operations: For the operations teams, the challenge was finding a solution that was flexible enough to allow assessments to be organized by specific topics and groups like aircraft size and routes.
Aircraft Engineering: For the aircraft engineering team, assessments needed to verify skills accurately and be easily categorized into skills assessments and high-stakes assessments to be overseen by CASA.
Beyond meeting their core assessment needs, the customer also needed a solution that was able to streamline their flight training services for partner airlines, which had been primarily paper-based and managed in manual formats like Excel spreadsheets, costing time and creating bottle-necks for reporting.
